Gathering no. 5: Capital: So-Called Primitive Accumulation

Where does capitalism come from? How does it take shape? When did workers become “free” in the sense of having nothing else to sell but their labor power? This reading group intends to explore Part 8 of Capital I by Karl Marx to (hopefully) help us sketch some answers to the above questions. In Part 8, Marx provided a historical account of the commodity form.
